We have already played two concert with this edition of Trondheim Jazz Orchestra (TJO), and we got two more coming up. One at Trøndertun folkehøyskole in Melhus (January 15th), and the final at Dokkhuset in Trondheim (January 16th). We wish you all welcome!
Dingobats was a jazz quintet consisting of Njål Ølnes and me (saxophones), Thomas T Dahl (guitar), Mats Eilertsen (double bass) and Sverre Gjørvad (drums). Dingobats existed from 1995-2005. We released three albums: “The New Dingobats Generation”, “Pöck” and “Follow”.

The mid 90th century was a very productive period for Norwegian jazz. There appeared a number of new musicians representing many new directions. One of the most influential bands were Dingobats, lead by Eirik Hegdal. They played at most jazz festivals and managed to release three critically acclaimed albums before they gave in 2005.

Now Eirik Hegdal have arranged the best music from these three albums for the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra…
